The creation of a website for a historic shop: Rota Calzature

This post describes the creation of a website for a historic shoe store located in the city of Bergamo.

I'm talking to you about Rota Calzature , a multi-brand shoe store for the whole family that needed to get rid of (it's really the case to say) the previous website created with Pagine Gialle.

The starting point is a very common situation: a website created with a contract with Pagine Gialle that also includes publication in their directories and hosting, in addition to a basic SEO service.

The difficulty encountered by the customer over time, however, was obtaining assistance from Pagine Gialle , which over the years has become a bureaucratic machine that can dedicate little time to customers and only through a customer service that is not very responsive and not competent on technical issues.

Added to this is the addition of unclear packages associated with the site , which in my opinion only serve to increase costs for customers, without any marketing benefit.

But let's get to the project: as in many cases we decided to use Wix technology to redo the website with the corporate image of the shop, while allowing autonomous maintenance of the contents and maintaining the positioning on search engines .

In fact, Wix is particularly efficient in easily managing SEO , as demonstrated by the first data from search engines relating to the new website (published in June 2023):

This result is possible thanks to the keyword research carried out in the preliminary phase, the correct setting of the website sections and the management of the redirect links from the old website URLs to the new URLs.

The customer is now "free" from the binding relationship with Pagine Gialle for the management of his website and can independently manage his website with very low management costs.

A win-win situation, in short.
