Additional information on Mystery Shopping Research

Mystery shopping (also known as Mystery Audit) is a method used to measure the quality of a service, including the selling of products to consumers.

It’s a strategic tool, adopted by both public and private companies to improve the business performances and the customer satisfaction.

It’s an anonymous inspection, during which the mystery shopper behaves and acts as a common consumer, with a view to measuring the quality of the service

It’s a planned and solid method to control and quantitatively measure the efficacy and efficiency of a service, in the right moment when it is provided.

Thanks to this method, you’ll get objective and accurate information concerning the customer experience to be employed for the improvement of your company performances.

The kernel of this method is the activity carried out by the mystery shopper, properly trained to set/create real situations; he/she must also be able to control and track the behaviour of the human resources staff involved in the service provision.

If the customer relationship is of the utmost importance for your company, then mystery audit is strategic to you. The focus is then on the human resources, on whom the quality of the service supply depends.

This method may also be applied in B2B field, to better understand the competitors and their offer, the price and the information given to the eventual buyer during the inspection
